The Quiet Victory
The Quiet Victory
A remark about a neighbor, a comment at the Shabbos table: it feels like nothing. What does one moment of holding a word back actually accomplish?
Twenty-two chapters and an epilogue answer with true stories: the couple who waited twenty years for a child, the forty-one days, the kehillah that changed together. Around them runs the Chofetz Chaim’s teaching on why speech carries such weight, with chapters on hatred and forgiveness, on complaining, and on the skill of silence. The practical thread is small and fixed: two halachos of the Chofetz Chaim a day. Sources are noted throughout.
A sefer for a daily seder in shemiras halashon, and for the Three Weeks.
