Torah that was said, or written, or once printed, and is now out of reach. We bring it into permanent form, and we keep it there.
In every generation Torah is taught — in yeshivos and living rooms, from shtenders and around Shabbos tables. Far more of it deserves to live on the page than ever does. And a sefer that has left circulation is no easier to find than one that was never written at all. Those are the two ends of a single problem, and they are what Yampolsky’s exists for.
So the shelf here is small and chosen, and nothing on it goes away. We get these seforim into your hands whether you are in Jerusalem or Melbourne. And if you are not sure what you are looking for, the Librarian reads inside the seforim rather than only their titles: describe what you are going through, and it will find you the passage and not only the book.
