Be'er Avraham on Shemoneh Esrei · באר אברהם
Three times a day we stand for Shemoneh Esrei. Be'er Avraham sets an explanation inside the words of the tefillah itself, so the meaning is read in the same line as the nusach. It is drawn from the commentary of R' Avraham, son of the Vilna Gaon, corrected from his own manuscript and printed with Mekor Avraham, its sources and short notes.
The sefer follows all nineteen brachos, from Avos through Refa'einu and Bareich Aleinu to Sim Shalom, and opens with the mitzvos fulfilled while davening. It adds Kochvei Eliyahu, the Gra's own teachings on tefillah gathered from early printings and manuscripts, and closes with Mekimi Me'afar Dal, chizuk on the power of tefillah.
